Here’s a Sign I did a while back for the nice folks over at Let’s Buzz Tattoo.
I got free hands to design a little shop sign for them in a 1930′s style with the the slogan “Make your mama proud”, not a bad assignment 
here’s how it turned out…

Jakob from Wheels magazine stopped by yesterday for some brush work to top off is custom built Yamaha Thumper.
The bike had already been painted red with white scallops and outlined in black. All that was needed was some lettering and stripe work to top it off.. After some pondering and several good/bad ideas, we almost went with my suggestion Gold lettering .. until Jakob with coffee in hand saw the light and we realized the lettering should, of course be silver!
And so it was, my groggy Sunday mind was saved .. can’t all my customers be graphic designers ??

This is a new sign for one of the latest additions to the Sivletto store, Downeys Salong. Downeys has a variety of vintage event services available for Weddings and other occasions. The Sign itself is a lightweight indoor show sign cut from Masonite and backed with light framework. This kind of lightweight signage is practical for indoor retail signage, trade shows, conventions or stage props. If need be colors can be painted flat to resist glare for use on stage or at photo shoots.

Heres a recent lettering job on a modern Harley with a 1920′s theme..
Most the colors used are special mixes of Olive Greens ( chrome yellow, Emerald green + a bit of black and white) . The HD logo design is based on the 1933 Art Deco eagle design, while the beltline style striping is based on 1920′s models.
